Dollish Polish Expecto Patronum

Today I have swatches of Dollish Polish Expecto Patronum.  I bought this polish after a plea on Facebook in a sales group, one of the ladies in their kindly offered to sell her unused bottle.  I blame The Lacquer Loving Lawyer for this purchase, she told me she was wearing it and it looked amazing, I googled the polish and salivated over the images and then once I got it I wore it four times within a month.  Which is a lot for a polish-a-holic with over 500 bottles to choose from.

Girly Bits Cosmic Ocean / Dotticure.

I have had Girly Bits Cosmic Ocean a while now and only shared one phone photo of it when showing the way Mentality Matte top coat performs.  Today's post is how it looks alone and how I wore it.

Magpie Monday

As a break between the every other day swatches I curently have scheduled, today's Magpie Monday is one with some simple nail art and is featuring my current stumps with the two missing corners and presently two cuts on my hand - we are currently redecorating and I seem to have a cut on my cuticle on my little finger and another one on my middle finger.  Origins unknown on both!

Mentality Stunning

Another Mentality matte swatched here, I have one or two of them... (tongue firmly in cheek)

Mentality Jackie

I have already posted some of my Mentality Matte swatches, today I have possibly my most favourite of them: Jackie.  I mentioned this in my last post - this was the blue I layered Kelvin Bleu over to get a better wear time.

Polished by KPT Kelvin Bleu

I've broken a few nails over the last couple of days and decided that I'm going to step back for a couple of days and allow my nails some recovery time and growth.  In the mean time I am going to post some swatches I already had done before the breaks and will probably only be posting every other day.  Nail Art A Go Go will have to take a back burner, but as the link ups are valid for around two months I will try to carry this on at some point.

Today I have swatches of a thermal I wore a couple of weeks ago, I wore it twice in two days.  Polished by KPT Kelvin Bleu (holo version) is a pale blue (when warm) to mid blue  (when cold) thermal.  Photos today were taken on my phone, so I am a bit disappointed by them and will reswatch once my nails are longer!

NAGG Day 17 - Animation & Magpie Monday

I had been looking forwards to today's prompt "animation" as a chance to do a cartoon dog I'd taken a screenshot of some time ago.

Mentality Sailor

Mentality Sailor is a polish I hadn't yet swatched alone, I have shown it as a base in a guest post for The Crumpet when she did her British Nail Blogger Christmas series.  This polish is too amazing not to be shown in it's full glory, especially after I mentioned it in yesterday's post about Brute.

NAGG Day 16 - Doodles

I never actually got time to get around to Day 15, so I have moved on to Day 16.  If I get time towards the end of the challenge I will try to catch up on this missing prompts.  Today's prompt is Doodles.  First up though, a look at my base for the doodles.....

I bust my thumbnail yesterday, I bent it backwards when getting changed which it bounced back from, only my polish lifted.  The second bend it got was too much, reaching in my pocket for my purse I caught it and knew it was gone.

And so we have a wonky thumb now.  Oh well, shit happens and nails grow!

Mentality Bandit and Brute

Today I have a double bill of Mentality mattes to share - I wore each of these earlier this week, Bandit on Sunday and Brute on Monday.  I am hoping to catch up on NAGGDay15 later, so there may be a second blog post from me coming up (probably tonight) but for now some swatches.

Bandit was not intended to be swatched when these photos were taken, I was just doing a quick paint job rather than having naked nails, however once it was on the nail I loved it so much that I got hubby to set up the light box for me (defenceless and useless with just painted nails!) and then I took the pictures!

Nail Art a Go Go Day 14 plus SpaRitual Magnify swatches

Today is Nail Art a Go Go day 14 with the theme sweets.  I have combined this with a review of a nail polish from the new SpaRitual Explore collection which I was provided for review so in this post there are swatches then NAGG further down the post.

Magnify is a creme pink polish which looks quite a pastel polish in the bottle, yet on the nail this becomes almost neon and is like Barbie on acid!

NAGG day 13 Hearts / Valentines / Born Pretty Store review.

Today's Nail Art a Go Go is themed hearts, I've kind of loosely interpreted hearts into a general Valentines theme ready for tomorrow and included a review for Born Pretty Store too as I had the nail art items sent for review.

Nail Art a Go Go Day 12 plus Cirque Lichen swatches

Today's NAGG theme is Camouflage, I haven't done camo nails for 18 months so I was looking forwards to this prompt.  I opted for "classic" camo.  Even hubby said it looked a little military.

Firstly I have some swatches of the base colour, then onto the camo! My base colour for this post was Cirque Lichen, a green glittery polish in a blackened base.

Nail Art a Go Go Day 11

NAGG day 11 is wallpaper.

My wallpaper is a blatent take on the way Lisa at Cosmetic Sanctuary recently showed swatches of Mairead, with plain nails and an accent stamped.  I matted mine though.  If it hadn't been for Lisa's amazing pictures I wouldn't have picked this shade up!

Nail Art a Go Go Day Ten / Magpie Monday

Today is NAGG day 10, the Night Sky, it is also a Monday so it's my Magpie Monday and I will be using polishes from Sally Magpies.

The theme being Night Sky gives me the perfect chance to try out galaxy nails.

Nail Art a Go Go Day Nine

After sitting out yesterday's NAGG I have managed to get today's prompt completed, Inner Geek.

Mentality Hero

I am hoping this will be the first of two posts from me today and if I get time to do it I will share NAGG day 9, Inner Geek, I have an idea in mind, but sinusitis means I haven't gone near any polish or acetone for a day or three.  For now I have another matte Mentality polish I swatched earlier in the week.

Mentality Tempest

Today should be Nail Art a Go Go day 8 still life. Real life got in the way and I have horrible sinusitis, so instead of doing my nails last night or today, I have chipped Baker St Blue on. I am sharing today swatches of a stunning polish I stalked Sally Magpies to buy!

NAGG Day 7

Today's NAGG theme is Primary  colours.  Apologies if my skin looks odd in the photos (it does to me) I fited new bulbs in the light box: still daylight, but LED rather than Halogen and the light produced is definitely different!  Pictures with Seche.

NAGG day six

Today's Nail Art a Go Go theme is Neon.

Please excuse the white tip of my thumb, didn't notice it til I came to pick my photos.

Nail Art a Go Go day five

Day five is themed Contrast.  Depending on which colour wheel you look at blue is opposite to either orange or yellow.  For this mani I used both.  As I was thinking about this particular mani Nory of Fierce Make Up and Nails posted a blue and yellow mani which I have had to replicate!  She has a tutorial on that post, I didn't bother to watch it before hand though, wish I had as the centre marker may have helped prevent the couple of uneven nails!

Nail Art a Go Go Day Four

Day four is monochrome.  I opted for white - pink - dark pink - black as my colour scale.

Nail Art a Go Go Day Three plus Magpie Monday

Today is day three of NAGG with the theme of warm vs cool - plus it's a Monday so it's Magpie Monday, time to haul out the purchases I have made from Sally Magpies.

I have used some of my newest Mentality Mattes for a Nailasaurus inspired waterfall, using cool blue toned purple matte polishes and some warm red toned matte polishes.  I love Mentality Matte polishes as they seem to wear really well on me.

Nail Art a Go Go Day Two plus Girly Bits His & Lear swatches

So.... Day two is Jewel Tones.  Today is a big fat fail and I'm quite late in the day posting, but I am still going to share it.  Firstly some swatch pictures of Girly Bits Hiss & Lear, two coats, no top coat.
